The Boston Red Sox have made a big push to regain relevancy in the AL East next season, adding the top free-agent hitter on the market as well as the top slugger available to teams via trade. After the Red Sox traded for Adrian Gonzalez, it seemed like a given they would be done with big-ticket moves for the rest of the offseason, but with Carl Crawford still available, the Red Sox signed him to a multi-year contract, pulling the rug out from under the Angels.
