Fantasy Stream Team: Wade Davis

Filed under:

Streamer Bud Norris posted a predictably good K-rate on Saturday, but he was terrible as a spot-starter, allowing five runs in 4.2 innings. It appears September will wind up being our worst month of ratios, but a 3.67 ERA and 1.30 WHIP (current September numbers as of Sunday) is still pretty good for bottom-of-the-barrel pitching. Fausto Carmona takes the mound Sunday for our team.

We've only streamed Wade Davis once since the All-Star Break and unfortunately, that start wound up being his worst start since June 4. He's 6-0 with a 3.26 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 45:17 K:BB ratio since the mid-July break. He was in the middle of no-hitting the Yankees in New York, but a weather delay caused him to be pulled after just 2.1 innings in his last start.

On Monday, he faces the Orioles, a team that's been struggling at the plate recently. In their last nine games, the Baltimore offense has scored more than four runs just once. Davis is 3-0 in his four career starts against the Orioles, and in his three wins he's allowed one or no runs to the offense. We'll take those odds for Monday's streamer pick.
