Fantasy Stream Team: Jhoulys the Jewel of Streaming

Filed under:

Streamer Nick Blackburn captured our fifth win of the month on Wednesday, when he held the Indians to one run on five hits and two walks through seven innings. Our ERA and WHIP this month is still higher that it's been in other months, but there really isn't room to complain about a 3.72 ERA and 1.30 WHIP from pitchers that no one else wants. Madison Bumgarner gets his shot at bringing those ratios down on Thursday.

I called our streamers "pitchers that no one else wants" above, but I'm perplexed as to why Jhoulys Chacin is still available in seven out of every ten leagues. He's allowed just four earned runs in his last six starts combined. In his last start when we recommended him as a great streaming options, he pitched eight shutout innings in Los Angeles. On Friday, he's at home against the Giants and is a must-start for teams looking for a pitching boost. I'd say that I'm streaming him myself, but he's already had a spot on my team for weeks.
