Kevin Durant (Knee) Sits; Carlos Boozer Limited In Return

Wednesday night was jam-packed with action in the Association. The biggest news -- or non-news depending on Thursday's follow-up reports -- was Kevin Durant missing the Thunder's triple-overtime win over the Nets with a knee injury.

As of now the reports have him listed as day-to-day and nothing seems to indicate that the injury is of the serious nature, but anytime you lose the top individual performer in the NBA you have to hold your breathe for a moment or two. Durant was entering the night as the league's leading scorer, averaging 27.3 points per game. Again, we'll continue to monitor the situation, but as of now it looks like this is simply a minor injury.

Of course when you have Russell Westbrook playing on another level the loss of Durant doesn't seem to hamper the Thunder all that much. Westbrook went off for 38 points on 14-of-32 shooting, 15 rebounds, nine assists, and three steals in the triple-overtime victory over the Nets. It's hard to find a more effective fantasy player in the game right now. Westbrook should continue to put up superstar numbers, with or without Durant in the lineup.
