Fantasy Stream Team Update: Volquez Out, Take Davis

Friday streamer Rick Porcello surrendered 12 hits, tied for the worst mark by one of our streamers all year, but he was able to mitigate the damage and allow just two runs in 6.1 innings. Still, it wasn't enough to post a win, so the Stream Team still sports 70 with two games remaining on the schedule. Brian Matusz makes our Saturday Stream Team start.

For our last pick of the season, we're going with Edinson Volquez, who has rebounded from a poor run in his return to the Reds rotation to be excellent in September. In his four starts in September, Volquez has posted a 1.95 ERA and 0.90 WHIP, striking out 31 batters in 27.2 innings in the process.

On Sunday, he faces the Brewers, a team he held to one run through eight innings to pick up a win on September 21. This game will come at home, where Volquez has a 3.23 ERA and 1.28 WHIP this season, in stark contrast to his road ratios of 6.08 and 1.86, respectively. We like him to finish the season strong against the Brewers as the Reds prepare for their first playoff appearance in 15 years.
