Actor-comedian Mike Epps is a huge boxing fan who spends lots of time in the gym working on his skills. In this FanHouse exclusive Epps tells us who he thinks wins between eight-division titlist Manny Pacquiao and three-division, five-time champion Shane Mosley.
Naazim Richardson, the trainer of Mosley (46-6-1, 39 knockouts), recently told Chris Robinson of The Examiner.com, that Mosley will "smash" Pacquiao (52-3-2, 38 KOs) when the two fighters meet for Pacquiao's WBO welterweight (147 pounds) crown in a Top Rank Promotions, HBO pay per view televised bout on May 7 at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas.
The 32-year-old Pacquiao also owns the WBC's junior middleweight (154 pounds) belt and has not lost since March of 2005, a run of 13 straight fights that include eight knockouts. On Nov. 13, Pacquiao routed Antonio Margarito (38-7, 27 KOs) by unanimous decision for the vacant WBC junior middleweight crown at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium.
The 39-year-old Mosley was dominated by unanimous decision against six-time champion, Floyd Mayweather (41-0, 25 KOs) in May of 2009, and is coming off of September's junior middleweight split-decision draw with light-hitting, ex-champion, Sergio Mora (21-1-1, six KOs). Mosley recently split with Golden Boy Promotions.
