Fantasy Stream Team: Hunter, Texas Ranger Faces Seattle

Filed under:

The Stream Team received six innings of one-run ball from Ian Kennedy on Friday, though we couldn't land our fourth win of the month. With good outings from Kennedy and Jake Westbrook over the last two days, our ratios are back to about their normal levels over the season. Jhoulys Chacin is up next for our team on Saturday.

For my team that's streaming this week, I grabbed Travis Wood, Chris Narveson, Joe Blanton and Jason Hammel, but the Stream Team-eligible pitcher I wanted the most was already on a roster.

After a fantastic first month of the season in June, Tommy Hunter has performed worse in each progressive month this season. So why do we like him for Sunday? He has the easiest matchup of any potential streamer, facing the league's worst offense in Seattle.

Here are some of the offensive categories in which the Mariners rank last: average, runs, hits, doubles, triples, home runs, on-base percentage, slugging percentage. This offense isn't just terrible, it's bottom-of-the-barrel across the board.
