Ah yes, what a strange week that saw two skilled position players fill-in for injured kickers. You never can be sure what to expect from a fantasy kicker. Week in and week out, it's a hope-for-the-best proposition. Even so, many times a kicker decides the fate of a game. It's sad, but true. And trust me, it's brutally painful to lose by only a few points because you got a goose egg from your kicker.
It happened to me a couple of weeks ago when Nick Folk dropped a zero against the Packers. Last week, I sure could have used that 54-yard field goal from Mason Crosby, but I digress. I chose to roll with Crosby simply based on the fact that I knew the Packers would be scoring a lot of points, and he would have plenty of opportunities. After all, he was facing the Cowboys.
So, I'm sticking with the "Picking on the Cowboys" theme. It's Lawrence Tynes' turn to get a workout on Sunday. He's part of a ridiculously good offense that faces a ridiculously bad defense. You do the math.
