Fantasy owners in daily leagues received a swift kick to the toe, when they found out that Amar'e Stoudemire was a late scratch on Saturday night against the Nets. He missed the game due to a sprained toe on his right foot.Stoudemire suffered the toe injury on Friday night when he collided with Ron Artest. Queensbridge, baby! Stoudemire is targeting a return to the basketball court on Wednesday, when the Knicks suit up against the Hawks. Yes, the Knicks are off until Wednesday night. This bodes well for his owners, who are hoping to minimize his absence.
Should Stoudemire miss Wednesday night, really the only option to pick-and-plug is Timofey Mozgov. You do have Wilson Chandler slotted back into the starting lineup, but he's not available in your league.
Mozgov went for just six points, four rebounds, a steal and a block on Saturday in 20 minutes of action, but you can point to the five quick fouls he picked up. The Knicks moved to a small lineup with Mozgov struggling to stay out of foul trouble.
