Rooney scores first goal back, gets aggressively hugged by fan

It seems like only yesterday that Wayne Rooney had a hoarde of angry, balaclava-wearing Man United fans threatening his life outside his front gate. Now, after playing out his ruse to squeeze the club for a bigger contract and taking a week to do whatever he did at Nike headquarters in Oregon, Rooney has scored again. His 87th-minute penalty was the difference in Man United's 1-0 Champions League win over Rangers and seems to have made up for his completely unsurprising aversion to apologies.

Immediately after he scored one Rooney fan at Ibrox risked his own well-being and freedom to give the player a hug by the corner flag even before his teammates could. Unobstructed by a balaclava, he was somehow allowed to have his way with Rooney, celebrating the moment and tugging Rooney's head back for a kiss even after he got up. Wayne didn't seem to mind too much, though. He must have been distracted by the realization that he truly can do whatever he wants without any repercussions what. So. Ever.
