U.S. national team coach Bob Bradley is scheduled to unveil the roster for the Nov. 17 friendly against South Africa on Thursday, and according to a report from Norway's Verdens Gang, former under-20 midfielder Mikkel Diskerud will be on the team.Diskerud, 20, was born in Oslo to a Norwegian father and American mother, and he represented the country of his birth at the under-17 level. But he remained interested in playing for the U.S., and last year he was named to Thomas Rongen's team for the U-20 World Cup in Egypt.
He scored the only goal in a 1-0 exhibition win over the Egyptians in June, then played twice in the World Cup last fall. The U.S. was eliminated in the first round with a 1-2-0 record.
