Alert! Adrian Peterson inactive, Favre to start on Monday night

Brett Favre (shoulder) will reportedly draw the start for Minnesota on Monday night, and Adrian Peterson (ankle, thigh, terrible field) is inactive.

Repeat: Peterson is INACTIVE.

Take evasive action, quickly. Toby Gerhart is your Vikings RB for a night. If he's owned, then Chester Taylor is probably available on the Chicago side. But do something, if possible, and do it soon. And if you were starting Joe Webb at receiver, forget it. Sub Earl Bennett if you can. Or Bernard Berrian. Or Devin Aromashodu. Someone. Anyone.

The current weather conditions at TCF Bank Stadium are pictured above. Looks wintry, cold, delightful. A perfect night for a live blog, actually. Please join us.

But first, send Webb and/or Peterson to the bench. Hurry. Do it.

Update, 9:40 pm ET: Webb fetishists, you caught a break. Favre suffered a head injury on a second quarter hit, doubtful to return. WEBB LIVES.
