Jennings has been flying off fantasy shelves all week with the uncertain status of Maurice Jones-Drew. MJD missed another practice Friday and is listed as doubtful, which should just about rule him out for Week 16. No Jacksonville player that's missed a Friday session this year has gone on to play.
Washington's get-well defense lies in wait for Sunday; over the last six weeks the Redskins are the third-easiest team for fantasy backs to score against. Jennings has shown plenty of moxie in recent weeks as MJD's understudy – Jennings scored three times from Weeks 12-14, and he had 77 total yards (and seven catches) last week at Indianapolis.
I'd slot Jennings as a Top 10 back if we were re-doing our ranks now, which is in line with colleagues Brad Evans and Andy Behrens (as soon as BFun checks in, we'll all be recommending Trident). Give yourself the gift of a fantasy title. Go get your man. (What, you picked Jennings up a hour ago, a day ago, a week ago, a month ago? Well done, gamer. Boast of your fantasy prowess in the comments – preferably in Haiku.)
There's another piece of fantasy business you might want to attend to before you shift into full holiday mode: dealing with the Andre Johnson situation. Johnson rested his sore ankle again on Friday, and the Houston Chronicle isn't confident that he'll play at Denver. It's a late game, so you'll need a caddy for AJ this week. Back to the mall, amigos.
