Fantasy Stream Team: NL West

St. Louis pitcher Jake Westbrook was an utter disappointment in his Stream Team start on Tuesday, allowing five runs in four innings against the Pirates. Heading into the game, a win seemed in high probability, but the Stream Team still has just four wins in September. Nick Blackburn is the next streamer up on Wednesday.

A short Thursday schedule limits our options for today's pick, but two great candidates emerge from the rabble upon closer inspection. Ian Kennedy has been phenomenal over the past month, allowing a total of four earned runs in five starts while shutting team out three times along the way. That performance included a six-inning shutout of the Rockies in Colorado. Kennedy will face that same team on Thursday, this time in Arizona, but with how well the Rockies have been playing in the second half, I wouldn't tempt the fantasy gods with Kennedy a second time.
