Chris Kaman Out 2-3 Weeks; Brandon Roy Has Knee Concerns

I'll start with what we know for certain: Chris Kaman will miss the next 2-3 weeks with an ankle sprain. Of course it's not advised to drop Kaman, but what I would suggest is that you take a look at DeAndre Jordan. I had him as one of my sleepers last season for this very reason. Kaman is typically prone to injury, having played fewer than 57 games in two of the last three seasons.

Jordan is still raw, and will likely remain "raw" his entire career, but he does provide some nice value in blocks, FG% and rebounds. His career per-36 numbers are impressive: 10.7 points, 10.9 rebounds, 2.3 blocks and 62.6 FG%. He's easily an add in all formats while Kaman is out, though I wouldn't expect nightly double-doubles. Again, his value comes by way of big-man stats. With the injuries piling up in Los Angeles he might find a way to approach those per-36 numbers of his. Just temper your expectations in the scoring category.
